PAWS for READING
July & August
~ sign up required ~
PAWS offers elementary school children the opportunity to practice their reading skills by reading aloud to a trained therapy dog.
The dog handlers are available for 1 ½ hours on the dates below. During this allotted time, we’re glad to offer three spaces, one child per 20 minute session. He or she will get lots of attention, working one-on-one with the dog and handler. You can bring a book from home or ask a librarian to choose an appropriate book for your child’s skill level and interest.
