Computers and Internet Access

Under normal conditions, the Patten Free Library has 12 desktop computers for public use.  We have reduced the number available at the present time to maintain safe social distancing. Microsoft Office is available on these devices. We also have iPads available for use in-house by children and their parents. We offer high-speed internet access and free WiFi. Printing is available for $.15 per page for black and white and $1.00 per page for color.  We can also fax documents, as well as scan and send.  Faxes are $2 for the first page, and $1 for each additional page.  There is no charge for scan and send documents.

When you use a Library computer or the Library’s WiFi services, you agree to comply with our Patron Code of Conduct and Internet Use Policy.

Public desktop computers may be used with a Library card or a guest pass. iPads must be checked out with a Library card for in-house use.

Library staff are available to answer your computing questions at the Information Desk, by email , or telephone 207-443-5141 x12.
