Computers and Internet Access

Public Computers

Under normal conditions, the Patten Free Library has 12 desktop computers for public use.  We have reduced the number available at the present time to maintain safe social distancing. Microsoft Office is available on these devices.  Public desktop computers may be used with a Library card or a guest pass.


Patten Free Library has four Chromebooks available for check out with a library card, valid license, or credit card to leave at the Reference desk while you borrow. For library use only.

Wireless Internet (WiFi)

Wifi is available throughout the building and immediately outside the Library.  

Printing Services

Printing is available from library computers for $.15 per page for black and white and $1.00 per page for color.  

Faxing, Scanning, and Copying

Faxes are $2 for the first page, and $1 for each additional page and can be done at the Reference desk.

Scanning and photocopying are available at the public photocopiers.  Photocopies are $.15 per page for black and white and $1.00 per page for color.  There is no charge for scan and send documents.


When you use a Library computer or the Library’s WiFi services, you agree to comply with our Patron Code of Conduct and Internet Use Policy.
