The Patten Free Library is a private 501c3 library and does not receive any direct federal or state aid. Currently, we receive an assessment of $20.61 per capita from member communities including the City of Bath, and the Towns of Arrowsic, Georgetown, West Bath, and Woolwich.
All of our operating revenue comes from the following:
Municipal Support – 30%
Endowment & Trusts – 48%
Fundraising & Gifts – 16%
Friends of Patten Free Library – 4%
Fines/Fees & Other – 2%
