Local Authors

You published a book! Congratulations!  We are so lucky to live in an area with so many local authors.  If you want us to consider adding your work to our collection, please note the following:

 

• All items on our shelves are selected based on our Materials Selection Policy. This means that we cannot add every book, even when donated, to our collection.
• All materials submitted must be properly bound and professionally published.
• The Patten Free Library does not typically add self-published books to the collection except in cases of high local interest.
• Whenever possible, materials will be selected based on review(s) from professional journals, and/or reviews published in local media. Read our Materials Selection Policy.
