Printing & Faxing

During the time the Library is closed, we will still be able to offer limited printing and faxing services through our curbside pick-up table.

We can print, copy, scan & send, or fax up to 10 pages (5 double-sided) of material in black-and-white.  Our current staffing model makes it impossible for us to collect fees, but we will include a donation envelope with every completed copy/print/fax job.  Please consider leaving a donation that approximates our usual charges, which is 15 cents per page for copying/printing/scan & send, and $1.00 per page for faxing.  You can leave your donation in the blue collection box on the curbside table.  Unfortunately, we cannot offer color copying at this time, nor can we accept jobs of greater than ten pages, or jobs which require special formatting. 

There are several options for requesting copies: 

  1. Call the Reference Desk at 443-5141, ext. 12, and arrange for a drop-off/pick-up time.  (Please allow for at least 30 minutes wait time if you need copies or printing on demand.) If you’re not in a rush, let us know and we can have your job ready for next-day pick-up.
  2. Send the job as an attachment to an email to pflreference@patten.lib.me.us.  Please include clear instructions, and a requested pick-up time.
  3. If you have an iPhone, you can print wirelessly from the parking lot using our free Wi-Fi. Connect to “Patten Free Library WiFi” under Wi-Fi settings.  Send the print job to “PFL Public (B/W).”   Call the Reference Desk at 443-5141, ext. 12 to alert our staff that you’ve sent a print job for pick-up.
