Book News: Audie Awards 2019

On March 4th, the Audio Publishers Association (APA) awarded their “Audie Awards”  recognizing distinction in the field of audiobooks and spoken word entertainment. Touted as the “Oscars” of the audio world, the APA presented their night’s biggest honor, “Audiobook of the Year,” to a YA title! Children of Blood and Bone, written by Tomi Adeyemi and narrated by Bahni Turpin, beat out five other adult fiction and nonfiction finalists to take the crown honor. Children of Blood and Bone was also nominated in the YA category, but that honor went to Sadie, written by Courtney Summers and narrated by Dan Bittner, Rebecca Soler, Gabra Zackman, and Fred Berman.
