Who can participate?

Anyone (of any age!) who lives in one of our service areas (Arrowsic, Bath, Georgetown, West Bath, Woolwich), has a PFL Library card (including non-resident cards), or attends an RSU1 school or school located within the Library service area.

How do I register?

Register here or visit the Children’s Room or Reference desk to register in person at the library.

What if I’m going on vacation?  Do I have to be here for the whole 6 weeks?

No! You can play as much or as little as you want.  Some things, such as Reading Tickets and certain Bingo squares, can even be completed anywhere.  The more you play, the more opportunities you have to win prizes!

How do I win prizes?

• Summer Reading Registration gets you 1 free book (to keep!) from our summer selection.
• Completing 1 classic bingo gets you a bag of goodies (limited to 1 bingo per person).
• Completing a bingo blackout gets you a free t-shirt and entry into end of summer raffle (kids and teens), or entry into the raffle only (adults).
• Completing a Reading Ticket gets you entered into a prize drawing.

How do I play bingo?

Collect your bingo sheet once you register.  Complete a classic bingo by crossing off 5 squares in a row; either across, up and down, or diagonal. Complete a blackout by crossing out all squares.

Can I win bingo multiple times?

You only get one bingo sheet for the whole summer, so keep it safe! Each prize can be earned only once per person.

How do Reading Tickets Work?

Reading Tickets are available at registration and throughout the summer and are open to all ages.  To play:

• Cross off a book each time you read for 20 minutes.
• Fill up a whole card (1 hour) and enter to win a prize!
• Place the card in the corresponding envelope to the prize you want.  Visit the PFL lobby to see the prize selections.
• Fill out as many cards as you want throughout the summer.
• Winners will be notified the week of August 18.

How can I find materials to read?

Browse our shelves to find books, magazines, audiobooks, and graphic novels, place a hold, or check out our digital books, audiobooks, comics and magazines!  You can always ask a staff member for recommendations or reading lists. We are here to help!
