Staff Picks: The Once and Future Witches by Alix E Harrow

A work of historical fiction that poses the question, “what if witches were real and supported women’s right to vote?” It’s set in “New Salem”, MA and follows the story of three sisters navigating the beginning of the suffragette movement while also hiding their witchcraft from the world at large. I love the author’s use of language and their seamless weaving of fantasy and history.
