Repair Café

Why replace when you can repair? Our expert volunteers will help repair your electronics, lamps, furniture, jewelry and small appliances; mend clothing, and sharpen tools.  If we are unable to repair your item we will make suggestions on where you can find the parts and learn how to do the repair or have it professionally repaired. What is 4-H Summer of Science? It is a series of weekly STEM activities for kids in grades 3-7.  In the 2023 activities, kids will be tasked with solving a mystery, using observation and data collection.  The kids will have to decide which species of animal has been spotted in Maine. Join High Touch High Tech of Maine as we explore how creatures, big and small, depend on each other. Visit the desert to learn about how cacti give back to their community, model and learn about the amazing world of the rainforest, dive into the ocean as we get up close as we examine the coral reef. Pop Art with Michael Albert

Mr. Albert will give a short talk about his art & book, show a selection of his artworks (posters), and conduct a hands-on collage workshop where all participants will be able to create their own collage using the same materials he uses to create his serious artworks.
