Teen Event: Painted Bookmark Swap

April 17 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us in the Teen Space and create gorgeous, hand-painted papers with Patten Free Library’s own Amanda Walden.  Come paint, stencil, and doodle layers on sheets of cardstock. We’ll cut them up into bookmarks for you to swap, give as gifts, or keep for yourself.  Go home with a rainbow assortment of about 16 bookmarks. Open Mic Night for Teens

The Teen Library Council is welcoming spring with an open mic event for teens on Saturday, May 4 at 5 p.m. in the Library Park Gazebo!  Rain or shine . . . we’ll move inside to the Reading Room if the weather doesn’t cooperate. Magic on Tuesdays!

Do you play Magic the Gathering, or want to? Join our group on Tuesdays. We start right after school (as soon as you can get there) and play until 6. Commander or casual games. Decks available for loan if you like and all skill levels welcome! This week the group use the tables outside the teen space, as we have a program going on in teen space.

The Art of Henna: Teen Event

How Do Colleges Really Choose Students? An Inside Look at the College Admissions Process

High school students in all grades and their parents are invited to an informative, interactive, and entertaining presentation by Wendy Thompson of Westport Educational Consulting to help families understand the role essays, interviews, standardized testing, extracurricular activities, sports, and other factors play in the admissions decisions colleges make.
