iPad for Seniors, Session 5: Oh Yeah . . . Books!

This session will show you how to borrow library eBooks and audiobooks using the Cloud Library app.  Time permitting, we’ll look at other sources of free books for your device.  No pre-registration is required; contact Roberta Jordan (rjordan@patten.lib.me.us, 443-5141, ext. 25) with questions.  Make sure that your iPad has the latest operating system (iOS 13.3), and if you can, download the Cloud Library app before the session.

Trudy Callaghan in Concert

Trudy Callaghan, originally from County Meath in Ireland, now lives in Deering Center, Portland.  She draws upon a rich tradition of Irish and Scottish songs, as well as English broadside ballads.  It’s a unique mix – from sweet melodies to strong narratives.  A brief description before each song helps anchor it in time and place, while the songs themselves open up a window onto times past – from love songs to songs of trades long gone – ploughmen, shoemakers, blacksmiths…

Murder Mystery Dinner

Oh no! There’s been a murder at the library right in the middle of our biggest fundraising dinner. We need your help to solve the case!  March 13, 6pm to 8pm at the Patten Free Library. Virtual Open Mic for Teens, Set 3: Hadley Wong
