Wabanaki Living Skills & Culture

The Damariscotta River Association presents, “Wabanaki Living Skills & Culture”. Make your own birch bark etching and hear some local native stories. Ages 5 & up, Thu, Feb 7, 3:30-4:30pm, meet outside at the Gazebo for about 10 minutes and then, into the Storytime Room. The Wabanaki Nations translated roughly as “People of the First Light” or “People of the Dawnland”) are a First Nations and Native American confederation of five principal nations: the Mi’kmaq, Maliseet, Passamaquoddy, Abenaki, and Penobscot. Gather around and listen.
