The Bath Book Bash is a one-day celebration of children’s literature featuring authors and illustrators from Maine and New England. Originally envisioned as family-friendly outdoor event in Library Park, the festival is now planned as a virtual event, with 21 authors participating in video presentations about their books and stories. Click here to see all the participating authors, or here to view the authors’ preview videos as we release them, almost daily, until September 26.
Morse High School senior Nina Powers will also be part of the Book Bash, celebrating the recent publication of her first novel, Boy in Bloom.
We are so lucky that culminating presentation of the day will be “A Conversation with Lois Lowry,” at 6 p.m. via ZOOM. There is a separate event on our scrolling calendar for the Lois Lowry event which has all the details of how to register.
You can see the full schedule of presentations, author bios, and eventually, all the author videos, on the Bath Book Bash website (https://sites.google.com/view/bathbookbash/home). Every hour on the hour between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the day of the event, we’ll release small groups of author presentations. If you prefer, you can also subscribe to the Bath Book Bash YouTube Channel to access the author talks. It will be a great day for children and families, so please join us.
