Summer Reading 2020 With Patten Free Library: June 8 through August 24

June 9 @ 8:00 am - September 4 @ 5:00 pm

Print or Screen: Read 15!” is the mantra for our summer reading program.

This year, we are inviting everyone – children, young adults, and adults – to participate.  Help us build a community of readers by logging 15 minutes of reading every day.

There are many reasons to read a little bit every day, not the least of which is its impact on academic success. However, reading also reduces stress and helps develop empathy.  It’s a comforting routine. And even though it seems like a solitary activity, reading helps us create a sense of community around cherished images, stories, and ideas.  We can travel far without ever  leaving our homes or communities.

Click here for program details on our FAQ page; or click here to download a reading log. The program starts on Monday June 8, so don’t start logging minutes until then!
