Bath Climate Conversations: The Shoreline and Coastal Waters

March 22 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Join experts from Bath and beyond to learn about the interactions between climate change and the waters that flow in and around Bath, and take part in a community discussion to share your thoughts and concerns.

The City of Bath has commissioned an engineering firm to develop a much more accurate model of flood vulnerability than anything that exists for the city, and this presentation will be the first chance to get a look at this new model of Bath’s vulnerability. The model is being developed as part of a climate change vulnerability assessment for the city, looking at vulnerabilities now and in the future with climate change. This new model will incorporate the combined impacts of river flooding from inland and storm surge flooding from the coast to accurately represent vulnerability to flooding today and in the future with sea level rise.

This program part of a continuing series of “Bath Climate Conversations” focused on learning, discussing, and connecting around ways to sustain and support our vibrant town as climate change occurs. Hosted by Bath Climate Action Commission in partnership with KELT and the Patten Free Library.
