This presentation by Greg (P. G.) Smith offers a lighthearted, interactive discussion of how and why horror literature thrills, provokes, and entertains us. Using short readings from the works of Edgar Allan Poe, Stephen King, Anne Rice, and Smith’s own work, he’ll explore the dynamics of mood, suspense, and mystery. Greg Smith is a retired Army officer and educator, as well as a writer of horror stories. Signed copies of his horror novel, Prayers for Evil: A Novel, will be available for purchase, and there will be free cider and donuts.
(NOTE: Although Greg’s presentation is suitable for teens, his novel is appropriate only for adult readers).
