To help inspire and instruct bakers who want to be part of our Edible Book Festival, local baker extraordinaire Kaite Thayer of Thayer Treats has been offering a series of short, instructional videos on cake baking, frosting, fondant, and decorating. Her guidance will help you (or your family) create of a book-inspired masterpiece! Her cooking demo postings have been airing on the Patten Free Library YouTube site.
In the last video, Kaite will do a live demonstration through her Facebook page, on how to decorate a book cake. If you want to follow along with her, we’ve got Grab and Go bags at the curbside table with some of the supplies you will need.
