In 2015, Peter and Coco embarked on a journey to bicycle from China to Italy via the ancient Silk Road. Peter grew up in Pownal, Maine and Coco hails from the town of Seregno in northern Italy. They both studied Chinese language in college/university and their love of Chinese culture drew them both to the city of Kunming in China’s southwestern Yunnan Province where they first met. Not long after meeting they devised a plan to travel by bicycle from China to Coco’s hometown in Italy, an epic journey of thousands of miles that would take them through ten countries over the course of a year.
