Librarian Laurel Cox works at the Patten Free Library Information Desk several days a week. It is her job to answer questions, assist with research, locate library materials, and help with public technology services. Patrons value her service, as evidenced by the 8,479 reference transactions from last year!
She feels the library “is an insurance policy for all of us, a place where we can always fall back when we need access to information of any and all sorts.” Laurel’s job, like many in the library, is all about service to our patrons. The staff strive every day to transform lives. We continue to build a stronger community through joyful, creative exploration and dialogue.
We do all this with the help of our donors. Will you join them?
