November 18 @ 6:30 pm. Nsiona Nguizani was hired by the town of Brunswick in August to help ease the transition for new asylum-seekers. He is president of the Angolan Community of Maine and worked with asylum-seekers in Portland this summer. Nguizani is an African immigrant who speaks English, French, Portuguese and Lingala. He was invited by Mid Coast New Mainers Group and Patten Free Library to help people in Bath learn more about the experiences/challenges of being an asylum seeker in Maine, and about how to create a welcoming community & support new Mainers as they make their lives here.
