Summer Reading Program

A summer of fun with the Performances in the Park series, Ice Cream Socials where you might meet an interesting guest such as a medieval knight or a llama! Maybe paint a T-shirt! Meet children from Shariki in Japan (Bath's twin city). We will join them for activities and crafts! These are just some of the many things happening at the library in the summer. It's a cool place to be! Check our monthly Calendar or the Newlsetter for schedule of events.

Play the reading game! Write the names of books and magazines you read or listen to during the summer on your game sheet that you get at the library. Return it to the library, tell us about your favorite stories and win prizes! It's easy! Fun too! Check the Winter Newsletter

February and April School Vacation Weeks

Crafts, activities, special guests! A variety of events are offered each of these weeks. Check the newspaper, your school newsletter, or the library newsletter for information.

Chess Club at the Patten Free Library

We have two clubs held weekly throughout the school year for grades 1-4 and grades 5-9. Whether you are a beginner or a chess whiz, this club is for you! Stop by the Children's of Young Adult Department and collect a registration form. Check Calendar of Events for current schedule.

Museum Passes

The Library's museum memberships are available for Patten Free Library patrons to use when visiting any of the 3 museums listed below. The Library holds one pass for each museum. The pass allows one family per day free or reduced price access to the museum. A family is defined as 2 adults and up to 6 children under the age of 18 who live in the same household. Reservations for use of a museum pass may be arranged one week in advance of the date. Passes may be picked up from the Circulation Desk 2-3 days before the planned use.
