Books
not owned at Patten Free Library may be requested through
the Minerva or MaineCat systems. You may request
books online at home or in the library or in person with the
assistance of Reference Department staff or by telephone (443-5141
ext 12).
- Have
your library card ready.
- Select
CATALOG from our web page.
- Select
the title you are interested in.
- If
Patten Free Library does not own the title, click on the
drop-down arrow in the box next to "Patten Free Library."
- Choose
All Minerva Libraries.
- Click
on the Search button.
- Click
on the title itself (this will determine which library(ies)
owns the desired title.
- Select
the
button at the top of the page.
- Enter
your name and library card barcode number.
- Click
on Submit.
- You
will receive a message stating whether or not your request
was successful.
- We
will notify you when your item is ready for pick-up.

If
no Minerva library owns the title you are looking for, you may
want to search the MaineCat (colleges, universities, large public
libraries) Catalog.

Select the
button at the top of the Minerva Catalog page.
- If
the desired title is owned in that system, select Request
This Item.
- Click
on the Pickup Location drop-down arrow.
- Select
Patten Free Library (Bath).
- Type
in your name and library card barcode number.
- Click
on Submit and your request will be automatically
sent.
- We
will notify you when your item is ready for pick-up.
