“Living within Limits” Teen Environmental Poster Contest

The Teen Library Council is partnering with Brunswick-based environmental organization Manomet to sponsor a environmental poster contest for middle and high school students.  Posters should promote activities and actions that help sustain the planet and reduce our environmental footprint.

The submission periods closes on June 1 at 5:00 p.m.  Prizes will be awarded in two age groups, grades 7-9 and grades 10-12.  First prize: $100; Second Prize: $75; Third prize: $50. Winners will be announced on June 8.

There is an optional poster workshop on Thursday, May 10, from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Community Room to brainstorm ideas for poster topics.

Information sheets and guidelines are available at the Library’s Reference Desk; submit your posters there, too.
