Did you know that a Bath native figured significantly in the life of Mark Twain? Bath native Captain Charles Crooker Duncan was the captain of the steamship Quaker City, which in 1867 set off on the first-full scale pleasure cruise of the Mediterranean, including a pilgrimage to the Holy Lands.
