On Saturday, November 8th, at 10:30 A.M. Bath Historical Society will present a talk by Susan F. Beegel on the wreck of the Hanover and the role it played in one of Harriet Beecher Stowe’s novels, The Pearl of Orr’s Island (1861). The Hanover was lost at the mouth of the Kennebec River in November of 1849.
