Nature topic/focus: During a visit to the Bowdoin College Coastal Studies Center, learners will accompany experts to explore the wildlife and mini-ecosystems that exist under rocks. The rocks at the Center are home to a host of decomposers that learners will be able to identify. Learners will explore why and how these organisms live under these rocks and will discuss how these organisms contribute to the balance of the ecosystem.
