Location: Merrymeeting Fields Preserve, Chops Point Rd, Woolwich
Nature topic/ideas: Learners will accompany experts on a walk around Merrymeeting Fields Preserve to explore the native flowers that are found in the area. There is an impressive 125 acres to explore. Experts will identify as many types of flowers as possible. Learners will be taught to identify different parts of the flower and will discuss the role that flowers play in the local ecosystem with the activity leaders. Children will learn about flower life cycles from seed to blossom.
