Contemporary Fiction, Contemporary Issues: A High School Book Group

April 5 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

This book group will provide high school students with the chance to talk about timely current issues as they are addressed in contemporary fiction.  The group is open to students in grade nine through twelve.

The first book in the series, It’s Kind of a Funny Story, by Ned Vizzini, tackles the issue of teen depression.  You can order a copy of the book through the Information Desk in the Reference Room.  We’ll meet to discuss it on Tuesday, April 5, at 6:30 p.m.  For more information, contact Roberta Jordan (rjordan@patten.lib.me.us).
