Contemporary Fiction, Contemporary Issues: A High School Book Group

June 7 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

This book group will provide high school students with the chance to talk about timely current issues as they are addressed in contemporary fiction.  The group is open to students in grade nine through twelve.

The next book in the series, Middlesex, is a Pulitzer Prize winner by Jeffrey Eugenides that deals with the topic of gender identity.  You can order a copy of the book through the Information Desk in the Reference Room.  We’ll meet to discuss it on Wednesday, June 7, at 6:30 p.m.  For more information, contact Roberta Jordan (rjordan@patten.lib.me.us).
