How to get a Library Card
Residents and taxpayers of Bath, Arrowsic, Georgetown, West
Bath, and Woolwich are eligible for a library card. Please note the following
conditions for participation:
Please
report lost or stolen cards immediately! Materials checked out on your
card are your responsibility.
Loan Policies
- Loan
Period
Regular loan materials may be checked out for 3 weeks.
VHS/DVD circulate for 1 week.
CD-ROMs circulate for 1 week.
Please ask about extended loans if you have vacation plans or special
circumstances.
- Late
Fees
Late charges are calculated from the due date at the following rates:
10¢ daily, not to exceed $5 per item. VHS/DVD & CD-ROM: $1 daily,
not to exceed $5.
- Returns
For your convenience, a book return is provided by the front entrance
for easy drop off when the library is closed. Fragile materials such
as VHS/DVD and audio tapes should be returned inside at the circulation
desk. Do not include money with materials in the book return.

to reserve a book:
Reserves
You may place online reserves through our online
catalog for materials that we own. You may also reserve these
materials in person, by telephone or e-mail pflreference@patten.lib.me.us
by supplying us with the author and title and your name and phone
number.
You will be notified when the material you want is available.
Interlibrary Loans
Online requests for books not owned by our library may be placed through
our online catalog. There is no fee for this service. You may also initiate interlibrary
loan requests for books, magazine articles, and selected audios and
VHS/DVD in person, by telephone, or e-mail pflinterlibraryloan@patten.lib.me.us
by supplying us with the author and title and your name, phone
number, and library card number. You will be notified when the material you want is available.
- How
to renew a book:
Renewals
Library materials may be renewed once unless an item has been reserved
by another patron or is overdue.
Books marked "new", VHS/DVD & CD-ROMs are renewable. Items may be renewed one time, so long as no one else is waiting for a copy.
Interlibrary loan materials are renewable unless they are from out-of-state.
